Refund on Military Warrants
(Refund)
1. IAFT-1752 and IAFT-1707 Warrants
IAFT-1752 and IAFT-1707 are warrants for which the entire fare is debited to the Ministry of Defence.
Refund Rule
No cash amount is collected from the passenger against the fare.
The fare is recovered directly from the Ministry of Defence.
Therefore, on cancellation of tickets issued against these warrants, no cash refund is payable to the passenger.
The adjustment, if any, is made between the Railway Administration and the Ministry of Defence as per prescribed procedures.
2. IAFT-1720 and IAFT-1709 Military Concession Orders
IAFT-1720 and IAFT-1709 are Military Concession Orders under which a portion of the fare is collected from the passenger and the remaining amount is debited to the Ministry of Defence.
Refund Rule
While processing refund on cancellation:
Cancellation Charges shall be calculated on the total fare payable for the journey.
The total fare includes:
Amount collected in cash from the passenger, and
Amount debited to the Ministry of Defence.
After deducting the applicable Cancellation Charges, the refundable amount shall be worked out.
Refund shall be restricted to the amount actually collected in cash from the passenger.
(Cash Collected)
(Amount Debited to Ministry of Defence)
3. Calculation of Cancellation Charges
Cancellation Charges shall be calculated separately for each passenger.
The minimum Cancellation Charges applicable to the class of travel shall be taken into account while calculating the refund.
