Ticket Deposit Receipt (TDR):-
1. When refund is not admissible in cash at the station, then Ticket Deposit Receipts issued.
2. TDR has 3 foils -
a. Passenger
b. CCM (Refund)
c. Record
3. Name of the passenger, address, particulars of ticket, reason for cancellation, date and time of cancellation, Signature of the passenger and Signature of Station Master / Head TC etc. particulars are mentioned on it.
4. The TDR will be prepared through carbon process. Staff issuing the TDR will cancel the ticket and write TDR number on the ticket, hand over passenger foil to the depositor and send CCM foil along with the cancelled ticket to CCM (refund).
5. TDR is issued in following conditions. –
a. On cancellation of partially used tickets.
b. On presenting the ticket for cancellation after expiry of prescribed time limit.
c. When tickets issued in exchange of coupons are presented for cancellation by MLA/MLC.
d. When reserved tickets issued by other stations are presented for cancellation and it is not possible to verify genuineness of those tickets.
6. TDR can be issued within 3 days from the date of journey and passenger should send application for refund to CCM (Refund) within 10 days from the date of issue of TDR.

Please note that the decision about the acceptance / rejection or amount of refund will be taken by the
concerned Zonal Railways as per extant Refund rules of Indian Railways and not by IRCTC
टिकट जमा रसीद :
1. जब यात्रियों को स्टेशन पर नगद में किराया वापसी नहीं दी जा सकती, तब टिकट जमा रसीद जारी की जायेगी।
2. टिकट जमा रसीद की तीन प्रतियां होती हैं-
a. यात्री
b. मुख्य वाणिज्य प्रबंधक (धनवापसी)
c. रिकॉर्ड
3. टिकट जमा रसीद कार्बन प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से बनाई जायेगी। जारी करने वाला कर्मचारी टिकट को रद्द करेगा, टिकट पर टिकट जमा रसीद नंबर लिखेगा, जमाकर्ता को यात्री का पन्ना देगा तथा मुख्य वाणिज्य प्रबंधक का पन्ना मुख्य वाणिज्य प्रबंधक (धनवापसी) को रद्द किये गये टिकट के साथ भेजेगा।
4. इसमें यात्री का नाम, पता, टिकट का विवरण, टिकट रद्द करने का कारण, टिकट रङ्करण की तिथि और समय, यात्री के हस्ताक्षर तथा स्टेशन मास्टर / हेड टीसी के हस्ताक्षर इत्यादि विवरण होते हैं।
5. टिकट जमा रसीद निम्नपरिस्थितियों में जारी की जाती है-
a. आंशिक उपयोग में लाये गये टिकट रद्द करने पर।
b. टिकट रद्दीकरण की समय सीमा समाप्त होने के पश्चात टिकट रद्द करने पर।
c. कुपन्स के बदले में जारी किये गये टिकट MLA/MLC व्दारा रद्द करने पर।
d. अन्य स्टेशन से जारी किये गये आरक्षित टिकट, जिनकी सत्यता प्रमाणित करने में असमर्थ हो रद्द करने पर ।
6. टिकट जमा रसीद यात्रा की तिथि से 3 दिन तक जारी की जा सकती है तथा 10 दिन के अंदर आवेदन मुख्य वाणिज्य प्रबंधक (धनवापसी) कार्यालय को धनवापसी के लिए भेजना चाहिये।

6 Excess fare Charged BY TTE.
TDR shall be filed upto seventy two hours of actual
arrival of the train at passenger’s destination and the
original certificate (GC/EFT) issued by the ticket
checking staff is to be sent through post to IRCTC.
7 Party Partially Travelled.
TDR shall be filed upto seventy two hours of actual
arrival of the train at passenger’s destination and the
original certificate (GC/EFT) issued by the ticket
checking staff is to be sent through post to IRCTC.
8 Passenger Not Travelled.
No refund of fare shall be admissible on the
ticket having confirmed reservation in case
ticket is not cancelled or TDR not filed online
upto four hours before the scheduled departure
of the train
No refund of fare shall be admissible on RAC etickets in case the ticket is not cancelled or TDR
not filed online upto thirty minutes before the
scheduled departure of the train.

Train Diverted And Passenger Not
Travelled.
TDR shall be filed upto seventy two hours of
schedule departure of the train at passenger’s
Boarding station.
10 Train Diverted And Train Not Touching
Boarding Station.
TDR shall be filed upto seventy two hours of
schedule departure of the train at passenger’s
Boarding station.
11 Train Diverted And Train Not Touching
Destination Station.
TDR shall be filed upto seventy two hours of
schedule departure of the train at passenger’s
Boarding station.
12 Passenger Not Travelled Due To Ticket
In RAC After Chart Preparation.
No refund of fare shall be admissible on RAC etickets in case the ticket is not cancelled or TDR
not filed online upto thirty minutes before the
scheduled departure of the train.
13 Train Terminated Short Of Destination.
TDR shall be filed upto seventy two hours of
schedule arrival of the train at passenger’s
destination and the original certificate (GC/EFT)
issued by the ticket checking staff is to be sent
through post to IRCTC.

Party Partially Confirmed/Waitlisted
And Waitlisted Passengers Did Not
Travel.
TDR shall be filed upto seventy two hours of actual
arrival of the train at passenger’s destination and the
original certificate (GC/EFT) issued by the ticket
checking staff is to be sent through post to IRCTC.
15 Party Partially Confirmed/Waitlisted
And All Passengers Did Not Travel.
No refund shall be granted on
reserved/RAC/waitlisted ticket if it is TDR filed
after thirty minutes before scheduled departure of
the train.

Change In Reservation Status From
Confirmed To Waitlisted/Part
Waitlisted/RAC After Chart Preparation.
No refund shall be granted on RAC ticket or waitlisted ticket after thirty minutes before the
scheduled departure of the train
18 After Charting No Room Provided. TDR shall be filed within three hours of actual
departure of the train at passengers Boarding station
19 Difference Of Fare As Passenger
Travelled In Lower Class.
TDR shall be filed within two days of the date of
issue of the certificate(excluding the day of issue of
the certificate) and the original certificate (GC/EFT)
